A young adult who finally had the courage to embrace who they always knew they were and to transition from male to female. After coming out to family and friends and finally beginning to live her life expressing herself the way she always felt, she decided to formally change her name.  We worked together to choose a new name that felt meaningful, and we created a naming and blessing ritual with all the family and friends who had supported her on her journey. She said her favorite moment was when she received her blessing while being wrapped in the tallit first used at her grandmother’s adult bat mitzvah.
